How to Use Notion AI for Meeting Summary

It’s no secret that meeting takes most of our time weekly. While meetings seem a one-step task, it’s actually more complex because you also have to:

• Prepare the presentation and agenda items before the meeting.
• Take notes during the meeting. 
• Review your notes and transcript to ensure you don’t miss anything after the meeting. 

Thanks to Notion AI, you can now summarize any text almost instantly. Here’s how you can start using Notion AI to summarize meetings: 

1. Make sure that you have the full transcript. Check your transcript and caption settings for your video meeting tool.
2. Once you have the transcript, you can copy and paste it anywhere on Notion. 
3. Use the “space bar” to enable the AI and choose the different commands. 
4. Choose “summarize.” 
5. Wait for the summary. 

You can click “Done” if you are satisfied with the summary. You can also make the summary longer or try to generate a new one. 

Notion AI is super easy to use. You can choose the built-in commands or type in your own. Typing in your commands simply means telling what you want Notion AI to do. For example, “Rewrite this summary in a friendly tone.”

As you can see, the summary is written in a paragraph with 3-5 sentences. You can type in, “Rewrite this in bullet points.” I personally like bullet points, as it’s easier to see everything at a glance.

Yup, Notion AI is free for everyone to test out. If you like all the AI features, it costs $10 per month as an add-on. You can also ask Notion’s customer support for discounts. Early-stage startups, students, and non-profit organizations can usually take advantage of special discounts.

You might not need the Notion AI feature as much if you already have other AI tools like ChatGPT and Grammarly. However, if you like to keep your existing workflows on Notion, then Notion AI might be the right upgrade for you.
