Tired of setting up new Zoom links every week? It’s easy to lose track of meeting details or send the wrong meeting link when your schedule gets busy.
A recurring Zoom meeting solves that by keeping everything consistent: same meeting ID, same settings, and a shared space for collaboration.
In this guide, you’ll learn how to:
- Create a recurring meeting in the Zoom client
- Link recurring meetings with Google Calendar
- Edit recurring sessions and update meeting details
- View upcoming meetings and all the meeting times in one place
Want to customize your look for recurring sessions? Here’s how to remove or change your Zoom background before your next meeting.
How to Create a Recurring Zoom Meeting
You can set up recurring meetings so each session uses the same meeting ID, meeting link, and meeting settings.
Zoom lets you repeat your recurring meeting series daily, weekly, or monthly. You can also choose a fixed-time recurring meeting or create one with no fixed time for added flexibility.
Follow these steps to create a recurring meeting in the Zoom web client:
1. Sign in to your Zoom account.
2. In the Home tab, click Schedule.

3. In the window that opens, check the Recurring meeting checkbox below the Time Zone.

4. From the Repeat dropdown, select how often your meeting should repeat: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or No Fixed Time. No Fixed Time creates a flexible recurring meeting you can start at any time, perfect for ad-hoc team check-ins or office hours.
5. If you choose Daily, Weekly, or Monthly, specify your recurrence pattern (for example, repeat every 2 weeks on Mondays and Thursdays).
6. Under End date, pick when your recurring series should stop. You can set it to end on a specific date or after a set number of recurring sessions.
7. Adjust other meeting details such as the topic, duration, and video settings.
8. Click Save to finish scheduling your recurring meeting.
💡 Pro tip: Need quick summaries of your recurring meetings? Use Tactiq to capture live transcripts and generate AI-powered notes right inside your Zoom sessions so you never have to rewatch recordings.
Important notes about recurring meetings:
- A fixed time recurring meeting can include up to 60 recurring sessions. If you need more than 60, create a meeting with No fixed time in the Zoom web portal.
- In some Zoom apps, the No fixed time option for recurring meetings may be hidden. If you don’t see it in the client, open the Zoom web portal to set it up.
- For recurring Zoom meetings, the meeting link and meeting ID expire 365 days after the last time you start the meeting. Starting the meeting again resets this timer.
How to Link a Recurring Zoom Meeting in Google Calendar
Connecting your recurring meeting to Google Calendar keeps every session date organized and ensures no one misses the call. When you link Zoom and Google Calendar, all meeting details like the meeting link, time, and agenda sync automatically.
Follow these steps:
1. In the Zoom desktop client, select Schedule.

2. Select Google Calendar under the Calendar option before you click Save.

3. A browser window will open asking you to sign in to your Google account. Choose your account, and then click Continue to give Zoom access.

4. Google Calendar will create an event containing your recurring meeting link, meeting ID, and date and time settings.
5. From the recurrence pattern dropdown, select how often the meeting repeats: daily, weekly, or monthly.

6. Add reminders or other meeting details, then click Save to confirm.
Your recurring meeting will now appear in both your Zoom client and Google Calendar, keeping all upcoming meetings in sync. You can edit the series at any time from either platform.

How to Edit Recurring Meetings
Sometimes you need to adjust your recurring meeting series. The session date may change, or new participants may join. You can easily edit a single session or the entire series from the Zoom web portal.
Follow these steps to update your recurring meetings:
1. Sign in to your Zoom account on the web portal.
2. In the left menu, click Meetings.

3. Find your recurring meeting and click its topic name to open the details page.
4. Select Show all occurrences next to the meeting time. You’ll see a list of all the meeting times in your recurring meeting series.
5. Choose to edit or delete one recurring session.
6.Update your meeting details, such as the date, time, or meeting settings.
7.Click Save to confirm your changes.
Note: Meetings with a fixed time can’t be changed to a No fixed time setup later. You’ll need to create a new meeting if you want that flexibility.
