How it works
Hold. Speak. Let go.
Nothing to open, nothing to switch to, and nothing to click when you are done. The learning curve is one sentence long.
Hold the key
Press and hold Fn, the Globe key, in whatever app you are already in. The microphone opens the instant you press, before the session has even been set up, so the first words of a quick hold are never clipped.
Say what you mean
A small black capsule appears under the menu bar with a live level meter and your words arriving as you speak. It floats above your work and never takes focus away from it, so you can watch it keep up.
Let go
Release the key and the finished text is typed at your cursor, in the app you were already using. Nothing to switch back to, nothing to paste, no extra window left open behind you.
Fn still does what Fn always did
A tap shorter than half a second does nothing at all: no sound, no capsule, no change of state. The Globe key keeps switching your input source and opening emoji exactly as before. It is also why the alternatives are right-side modifiers only — the left-hand ones are the keys you already hold down during ordinary shortcuts.

Your speech is transcribed live as you talk. The moment you let go, a second pass turns it into writing: filler and false starts dropped, casing and punctuation fixed, spoken formatting obeyed rather than typed out.

- Filler words, repeats and false starts are dropped. Anything that carries meaning is not.

- Sentences get their capitals, commas and full stops without you saying any of them out loud.

- Spoken formatting is obeyed, not typed out. Ask for bullet points, a new paragraph or a new line and you get one.
